An ARPG, or art roleplaying game, is an interactive art-focused rpg where you progress by creating visual or written art featuring your character! You can receive in-game currencies, items, and rewards by completing prompts and other challenges. These items can let you alter your character's appearance, make new characters, and more! As an ARPG, Cossetlings encourages players to create their own stories and not follow a specific plotline in the Cossetling world. It's all up to you!

Cossetlings are a closed adoptable species. Adoptables are designs that are sold to others for the purpose of being used as their own characters. They are essentially "blank slates" and just the design. The purchaser is the one who creates the character, backstory, etc. Adoptables are for personal use and do not have commerical rights. It's a-ok to use adoptables for roleplaying, personal stories, and personal art. You can also commission others for art of them or collect designs for your own personal enjoyment. (These guidelines also apply to free Cossetling designs!)

Closed species are adoptables with shared design elements and apart of a world with its own lore. These adoptables can't be made or considered "official" designs without permission from the species creator. With an official Cossetling design, you can make your own character and participate in the world, the entire ARPG, and the community.

And how do you get an official Cossetling? There's a few ways.

When available, you can purchase designs made by official/guest artists or make-your-own (MYO) items that grant MYO slots with real life currency (RLC). Stay up to date by periodically checking the news and sales pages!

You can also buy MYO items with in-game currency, win free designs in raffles, or receive a design or MYO item/slot from another user either by purchase, trade, or gift. And once you have your own Cossetling, you can join the ARPG and community in the official Discord server!
