✿ So, you want to make your own Cossetling?
With a make-your-own (MYO) slot, you can! Like what it says on the tin, this slot gives you the ability to make your own official Cossetling. To get a slot, you'll need a Watcher's Fruit. You can't make your own Cossetling without one.
And how do you get a Watcher's Fruit?
✿ Purchasing one with USD during time-limited sales or with in-game currency from Whitley's Farm when available.
✿ Recieve one from another user by trade, purchase, or gift.
✿ Obtain one as a prize from a raffle, giveaway, or event.
Do note, you must have an account on this site to own a Cossetling!
✿ i have a myo slot! what's next?
Great! Next, you design your Cossetling! This will be a standard Flower Tail Cossetling with no additional traits. It's recommended to read What Makes a Cossetling a Cossetling and A Brief Memory to understand core Cossetling traits and lore, but as a refresher:
Optional Traits: Sheep/Bovidae Horns (One Pair, Any Color), Colored Fingertips/Tongue (Any Color), Cellouse Leg Growth, Singular Flower/Leaf/Seed Growth Above Ears (Posy Pin), Minimal Fur/Fluff (Ears/Hooves), Any Pupil Shape (Most Common: Round, Horizontal, Simple Flower, Four Dot), Light-Colored Non-White Sclera
Natural skin includes freckles, vitiligo, scars, tattoos, etc. Do note, a standard Cossetling's cellouse cannot be tattooed. Heterochromia is also considered natural, and so are broken horns. Anything not listed above may be considered additional (add-on) traits or not a Cossetling trait at all. Design elements that aren't considered Cossetling traits and would be rejected include but are not limited to:
Unnatural Skin Color, Anthro/Non-Human Face, Non-Minimal Fur, Multiple Eyes/Ears/Limbs/Heads, Non-Sheeplike Ears, Mismatched Horns, Human/Other Non-Hooved Feet, Non-Round Irises, Food Body Parts, Robotic Parts/Cyborgs, Gooey/Melty Parts, Holographic/Neon Coloring, No Flower Hooves, No Flower Tail, No Watcher's Eye
You cannot use add-on traits without the corresponding item(s).
design tips!
Start with the Flower Tail! Pick a flower you like, or not. It doesn't have to be a flower. Any plant found on Earth is fair game and can be used as your Cossetling's tail! It just needs a stem and a flower or leaf with a Watcher's Eye at the tail's end. The stem can be bare or have leaves, thorns, etc. if the chosen plant has it too. A Standard Cossetling's tail must have realistic colors meaning the same colors as the chosen real-world plant. The tail should also look healthy with no injuries, bents, holes, etc. because the tail reflects a Cossetling's health.
Don't forget the Watcher's Eye! The gem's body and symbol should be single-colored with no extra marks or decals. They can be any color but the symbol must be distinguishable from the rest of the gem.
Please note Cossetlings do not wear real flowers to accessorize like humans do as they can naturally grow them. Any flower decor that isn't a Posy Pin would require the Overgrowth trait. Without the trait, flowers on their person must be visibly fake and not appear life-like such as buttons, pendants, etc. This also applies to other plant growth, mushrooms/fungi, and coral.
Also, remember the Cossetling world is old-fashioned. Words that would best describe Cossetlings as a whole would be rural, cottagecore, farm, antique, cozy, whimsical, floral, fairy, woodsy, period fashion, forest witch. Prosthetics cannot be hi-tech or modern. Avoid futuristic, cyber, techwear, or completely modern fashion.

✿ how do i submit my MYO?
Once your design is done, go here and select your MYO slot. If you haven't already, make sure to use your Watcher's Fruit to grant you the slot by going to your inventory, clicking the fruit, checking the box next to 'Source', clicking 'Use Slot' and then 'Open'. On your MYO slot's profile, click 'Submit MYO Design' under 'Settings' on the sidebar. After you click 'Create Request', follow the instructions and then submit your MYO to the approval queue!
The masterlist image should be a minimum flat-colored full body of your Cossetling, drawn by yourself or by another properly-credited artist. Shading/CG painting is fine. The file should be .PNG and not exceed 1200px in height. It should feature your Cossetling facing forward and fully visible. The background should be transparent with any additional objects unobstructive and minimal. All traits must be shown including the flower tail. If your Cossetling's tail is short or if their Watcher's Eye is hidden, you can draw the tail or eye separately instead of a complete back view. It's recommended to not add any additional poses besides the mandatory one. The thumbnail should feature the Cossetling's face. Watermarking/signature is fine as long as it doesn't obscure your image or traits. If you have any add-on traits, make sure to attach the corresponding items before you submit!
Art for the masterlist must be original and made for the masterlist. You cannot submit edited adoptables or premade art. Bases can only be used if they were made specifically for Cossetlings.com use.
And remember under 'Flora' to state which plant your Cossetling is based on! You don't have to attach a photo or get too scientific, just mention the name. For an example, Cosette is a Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity' but saying 'Purity Cosmo' or 'White Cosmo' instead would be fine!
Once you've submitted your MYO, all you have to do is wait for approval! If it's rejected, don't fret.
You're welcome to resubmit!
✿ what if i want to redesign my cossetling?
You can! Do note, Cossetlings designed by official/guest artists can only be redesigned by the respective artist(s). This is for the sake of consistency, archival purposes, and out of respect for the artists. There will be a way in the future to turn-in these designs if the respective artist is unavailable. You also cannot change your Cossetling's first/original flower tail to a different plant species.
On your Cossetling's profile, click 'Update Design' under 'Settings' on the sidebar and then 'Create Request'. Just like submitting your MYO, follow the instructions and then submit your redesign to the approval queue! To add new traits, please attach the corresponding items and select the traits in the 'Traits' section.
Minor design tweaks or 'dress up' elements such as different hairstyles or outfits do not require items or masterlist updates. Art depicting these changes can be submitted to the General Gallery (or Other if it doesn't meet criteria rewards) and will show up in your Cossetling's personal gallery page on their profile. Significant/major changes, however, do require an item.
And once again, after you've submitted your redesign, all you have to do is wait for approval!
Enjoy your Cossetling!
