Okay so the dark hat IS a pickpocket and we are keeping him with the guard for the safety of everyone's wallets.
The friends are actually KIDS and the parents are OLD UNCOOL ADULTS (i am too autistic for this puzzle HELP/lh)
the scaredy needs someone to WATCH them that is NOT the guard OR a kid OR the visitor so it HAS to be the second parent.
SO TRY #5.
1) guard and pickpocket!
2) child and their parent!
3) other parent and scaredy!
that leaves the four friends and the visitor so I am back where I started with my very first guess!! But you told me my second guess was the closest........ so is "Unless YOU can keep one entertained" LITERALLY me??????????
4) two friends
5) visitor and one friend
6) last friend and me???????? an entertainer??????
