Darren was surprised he was asked to help out with a party, in fact he was more surprised that he was invited to it but its not often he left the house and Usagi wanted to enjoy a festive atmosphere since the hallo'moon time. They got a gift ready and everything but as stated earlier he was asked to help decorate the area, Not that he minded at all but someone had to watch his pet since she's a handful sometimes which lucky for them Cosette didn't mind one bit doing so. He rolled up his sleeves and got to work as he was asked to add a personal touch from Cosette's father and what's more personal the to make it yourself.

Oh if he knew this was gonna be asked he would have brought stuff from home but instead he was handed scissors and construction paper and his worst enemy came back, simple handmade crafts, he remembers the pumpkin he ruined last month making him sigh out a bit before taking the items "I want to say in advance I'm sorry cause it's going to come out...bad" the man just gave a hearty laugh and clapped his back saying anything made from the heart can't be bad. He is only saying that because he hasn't seen it as they first carefully drew what he needed, he thought some paper flowers might look nice decorating the table.

They won't wilt and can be weighed down but the only problem is they won't smell nice unless there are cossetlings that like the scent of paper? well maybe fresh paper but its not for him as they drew a really nice flower since he could do that but here comes the troublesome part as he picked up the scissors, carefully to not hurt himself or others he went slowly as they concentrated best he could to make really nice flowers for someone's very special day. Well things went like he thought it would with a pile of terribly mishappen and jagged paper flowers where he just stared down at his work like a lost lamba in the middle of whitlea's empty fileds after a harvest.

Cosette's father just patted his shoulder saying it was still a fine attempt but they really couldn't use the flowers as they seemed a bit wilted in appearance, he put a face in his hands feeling embarrassed at the carnage he had just unleashed onto all but papa cossetling just laughed saying some folks are just better at some things and bad at the rest, no need to be down about it. Darren wished to disappear but the words did help him make him feel better "Hmm...the drawings on these lil...papers were nice though, say why don't you just draw em and someone else cut em?" he blinked for a moment before feeling a candle being lit in his mind.

Duh! He didn't have to do the cutting himself he could just help provide blue prints like he does in the glass workshop making him take up the pencil once more after sharpening it a little more, some other guests took up scissors and helped cut the flowers out much nicer than him, if it wasn't cutting or carving things in delicate work then Darren can do most things. Not that doing art came easy to him it was a lot of persistent passion to master the craft for glass work. By the time they finished drawing up all sorts of flowers that were easy to cut the party place was starting to look real nice, he saw other cossetlings help in their own way, it was nice to see a touch of his work here and there as they now had Usagi again during his well deserved break.

"What did you do while i was busy?" he asked the lapito who just twitched their nose, girls gotta have some secrets thank you very much. Darren just kissed the top of her head before patting his body down a bit, he better put a present in the pile with the rest of them before he forgets, He and Usagi couldn't wait to enjoy the party once its in full swing!
