The Start of an Adventure (ft Raul)

It was time for an adventure, that's what Raul thought as they got up from his work station and popped his back a bit from being hunched over materials all day "Goodness look at the time" He was going to do some prepping for that adventure well. He still had time if he rushed it enough but he still had to be careful, last time he went out on an adventure he forgot to pack enough food and water so he nearly perished luckily some campers found him so this time he is not forgetting his meals! "Now where did I leave that bag of mine?" he rubbed his jaw a bit trying to remember when he found it in the hall closet of his home.

One quick packing session later with double checking of everything on his adventuring list before he was heading out the door, his adventure? Finding rare materials or at least something he can turn into art! Nothing feels better than looking for your own things! otherwise how else will anyone else know what you're wanting if you don't have an example ready for them, he's so smart doing this again with the proper equipment now. He might be camping out in the woods for a while but that shouldn't' be too much of a problem with how things went for him, Raul hurried while there was still plenty of natural light out, he wanted to conserve as much magic for his lantern as possible in case of emergencies.

He was deep in the woods now with a map in tow, he was marking things down with a mark he made so he wouldn't get lost "...Hope nobody gets the wrong idea about these" he said touching the symbol he carved into a tree, but if he became an urban legend then that's fine too "Oh!" he spotted some nice looking rocks "How strange they're smooth like they've been in a river but..." he looked around curiously, there wasn't a river in sight or anywhere on the map that would show there was one nearby "If i wasn't so busy with my search i'd look into this!" he laughed a bit but continuing collecting the nice smooth material.

Raul found some other interesting things, he used his magic to preserve any flowers or plants he got a hold of, having magic was just too handy but he wasn't going to abuse it least his hands get rusty when he starts to craft "Taking shortcuts too often would just make everything a mess" Just like the story of the cossetling who got everything they wanted without lifting a finger, he was never truly happy until he got it for his own, how did that story end anyway? He can't remember so he didn't pay it any mind as they started to squint in the setting sunlight "Guess i can't put off camp any longer" He checked his map real quick, holding it up in what light was left to see where he could hold out for the night.

Oh! A picture of a cave? is it empty? No it's too late to explore for now so he'll hold off until a later date, aha! There was a clearing pictured on the map that he can go to, he hurried in that direction with a compass in hand, he almost tripped into a creek as he got the lantern out and light up the way around him "Gotta be more careful" he laughed off the throbbing pain in his legs for now as they found the area he was looking for. Quick as a whistle he set up a tent but the campfire might be tricky, there weren't any large rocks he could use around the area "Oh right, the campfire spell!" He learned about it from some wandering cossets!

He had to put his all in concentrating as the magic attracted the rocks he needed, kindling, and some dry leaves and grass "Guess there isn't any handy logs nearby" He will just make do with what he has as he wasn't going to be staying outside much longer, He had to make himself a quick meal using the campfire then it's off to bed! He got some of those vegan sausages Lennox buys sometimes along with some hash browns, mmm tubers! Raul stared out at the star speckled sky while he waited for his meal to cook, he was so glad he went out on this adventure "Can't wait to see what i find" With a stretch of his arms he now watched his meal slowly cook, tomorrow will be a brighter more adventurous day.
