Raul's Wreath

Raúl was feeling festive this nice balmy day, more festive then usual at least as they saw all the wreaths about town or being made which made the other want to dabble their hands into it. When was the last time he made a wreath? he wasn't sure but that's fine since there's no time like the present! They wandered around on the outskirts of town to see what he can use for his wreath, Raúl was taking his time thinking of what to pick, should the common poppy be transformed under his artistic hands? He made a soft hum as he touched a lock of his hair, the red would get lost in the color of his own, it's not red but it won't stand out enough but then again he doesn't have to wear it right? After all this for the home not his head.

He'll come back to that in a minute as he examines some others "Oho~" the everyday buttercup! How quaint! But the flower seems kind of small, Oh! If he intertwined the poppy and buttercup! Wait no, it's not enough. He felt like just these two is not enough, His blood was boiling with the need to create now! If only there were more colorful flowers out and about! Maybe he can get some from the florist instead when his eyes wandered on it! The daisy! Of course! With the combination of these three now he can really make something! Plus for free too as he crouched down to start picking a few needed for the wreath.

Good! Now that he has a good enough supply he is going back to his place to get working on a wreath, the most beautiful wreath anyone has ever seen! Raúl snickered to himself thinking of how beautiful it'll be once he finished it, nimble fingers began to curve and bend each flower carefully as they wanted to preserve as much of it's natural look as possible but there was a problem, one he didn't think he'd run into. His wreath was...ugly!? Wait that can't be right! He looked down at it and tried to figure out where he went wrong, has it been too long that he simply forgot how to weave one together properly?

This isn't something an artesian would make at all, maybe his skills didn't translate well to flower wreaths but just fine with cosprouts? no that can't be it, he sits there and just stares at the wreath before letting out a sigh "Just a matter of practice I guess" Raúl took a deep breath before picking up the left over flowers up to start again, the wreath came out faster but not any better which upset him but like he said! Practice! He had to collect more wildflowers and returned quickly as he set the lot of it in a vase of water so they don't wilt while he practices "I will succeed!" he muttered with a passion as he needed to get this right! His pride was on the line!

Concentrating hard on this now, Raúl stared at the small pile of wreaths, he was getting closer but somehow not at all as well. What was he missing? He has the skills and speed so what's going wrong? He let out a big fat sigh wondering if maybe he just had no talent with flower craft and leaned back against the wall staring up at the now dimming sky, those marvelous blue hues turning into its duskier cousin purple, Maybe he was just thinking too hard on this? What was he like when he was younger? He closed his eyes and imagined his youth making flower wreaths for fun and not for art, the way he happily plucked whatever flower he had to just make one to play with or gift.

Oh, that's it isn't it? He Sat up properly and smiled at the remaining vase with wilting flowers while resting his chin in hand, he didn't care if it looked bad he just had fun making it and they turned out just fine didn't it? Raúl just took his time and happily whistled away as they got a perfectly fine wreath out of it, guess taking things too seriously sometime make things come out for the worse as he wondered what to do with all these others, well the rules didn't say he had to keep just ONE decoration for the place of residence as he put them up properly and the perfect one well, It was going to be preserved as a reminder to just take it easy when it comes to art.
