Spring Welcome | A little alterations
Estren looked over at Rida, the feminine cossetling holding a beautiful flower wreath in her arms. Not only was the selection of flowers deliberate and weaved into the wreath perfectly, but it looked big enough to go around a cossetling's waist if they tried. Then they looked back to their own wreath. The flowers were pretty on their own, being bright purples and blues, but they were... not that well placed. Little patches of flowers in one spot, while other spots were completely bare. And don't even dare to ask him to turn the wreath around; stems as far as the eye could see, messily fraying out of the back and causing the flowers to fall out if Estren put it down the wrong way. Their ears tilted down slightly, and he pouted mostly to himself.
"I... don't think that I did it right."
Rida turned her head upon hearing that meek voice, looking at the wreath that Estren had made. It wasn't the most polished, she could admit that, but she found it cute in her own way. It looked much better than what she would expect for someone making their first flower wreath. The space between the sections with large bundles of flowers and the empty space of the wreath almost made it look like polka dots- it could be a very intentional choice if Estren thought of it that way. She gently held out her hand. It was a signal that Estren understood quickly, handing over the wreath.
He watched her as she lightly ran her hands over the back of the wreath, pulling the stems together and braiding them before tucking them gently into the foliage of the wreath. It hid most of it, but the parts that were now visible from the back of the wreath looked more organized and... honestly quite pleasant. She then moved to the front, twisting some of the flowers together to make even smaller dots of clustered flowers. That part confused Estren up until the point she got to the last few bundles. "Oh, like spots." He said to himself. Rida nodded, handing the wreath back to him.
"Well...Uhm... Thank you, Miss Rida." Estren stated, only for Rida to put a gentle hand on his thigh. "It was perfectly fine already, you just need a bit more confidence and practice. I found the little spots of flowers to be a delightful pattern." Estren found himself looking directly as Rida, completely silent for a moment. Rida chuckled lightly. "Your eyes are sparkling.
"Oh, yes of course. Sometimes when Estren was caught up with emotions the stardust in his eyes would sparkle ever so slightly. He squeaked, holding his wreath close to him and looking away. "Sorry..." He whimpered. "Oh, don't be sorry! It was cute... I'm sure Mateo would love to hear about it once he comes back from his little costume party. Just like he'll love your wreath, I'm sure of it."
Estren couldn't respond, hiding his face in his sweater and huffing into it. That only made Rida laugh again.
