Magical Stargazing

"Ta-Dah! Let's see what's your card~" Tesni pondered cheerfully as she pulled a card from behind a patron's ear and flipped it with a dramatic flick of hand.

"Ace of Diamonds! That's your card yes?" Tesni's smile grew wide at the amazement on the patron's face and she jumped away toward the stage as some of the patrons went up to drop some goldleaves into her hat she had placed near the edge.

When it finally quietened down and the gambling den was near-empty; Tesni was able to grab her hat as well as other stuff and slip away to drop off the goldleaves then checking that she was not needed, she headed for the door in the back to get some fresh breath of air.

With a quiet sigh, the young Cossetling leaned back against the cold building as she tilted her head upwards toward the lovely night blue sky that had been dotted in glittering stars and glistening bright white full moon. It was a beautiful evening indeed and Tesni did so enjoy slipping away every small chance she could get which was not common as the gambling den was often kept busy when she was working her shifts as performer. Her relationship with the owner Emrys was cordial at best and Tesni did not mind it.

The Cossetling closed her eyes and basked in the gentle sounds of the wind rustling through her hair and the nearby plants as well as grass. The flowers that were frequently seen hovering around her hands were now resting downwards at her hip as Tesni breathed slowly and deeply while reopening her eyes toward the starry sky.

Tesni absolutely loved to stargaze. It was astounding what one could find in the sky. Some of the stars when combined even seemed to paint a picture that seemed to be called 'constellations'! Sometimes she would lift a hand and trace the stars she could see and imagining what sort of pictures they would reveal and their meaning. While she adored stars, it was not something she could afford to invest too much of her time into as her work and other passions kept her very busy.

"Beautiful..." Tesni murmured softly as she pushed herself off the wall, mentally preparing herself to get back inside and prepare for her next show when something caught her eyes and she gasped softly in surprise.

A brilliant star had just shot across the night sky followed by swarm of colourful Estras. Woah! What a beautiful and lucky sight! Tesni counted her blessings then shot up a quick secret wish on the shooting star that she would keep to herself.

It was time for her to finally return to work, hydrate up, grab a quick snack and get ready for next show. She did not want someone to be sent for her so she often tried to keep her time outside quick so she wouldn't disrupt anything.

Besides she preferred it when she could keep her time outside short. It made her savouring the precious time so much better and well worth it.
