A Journey Beyond Latorre
Living with Youyi will never be quiet or dull. After all, Youyi is a very busy man.
Working as a merchant, Youyi finds himself having to travel far more often than one would like. When he says travel, he doesn’t mean just getting from point A to point B. Travelling means blinking into one realm to another – bringing back curious souvenirs from these realms for those willing to pay a hefty price.
Some would say that his business is rather dubious, considering the fact that no one knows how exactly he receives these souvenirs, but Youyi doesn’t care. It pays the bills and no one’s really losing out – so what’s the big deal?
To Youyi, these travels aren’t just for business, but also for fun! He considers it a fun little vacation and if he’s being honest – a good bonding time with his cosprouts.
For Lizhi and Meijing, with how often they’ve accompanied Youyi on these trips, are aware of what they are and are not supposed to do. For Ying, however? It’s exciting – not because it’s her first time blinking to another universe, no. It’s the first time she’ll be blinking with purpose and accompanied by someone she really likes!
Her excitement is boundless, evident from the way she can’t stop jumping around.
“You’re going to fall over,” Youyi laughs, shaking his head. “Come on, hands or you’ll get left behind.”
At his words, the monkos all reach to hold each other’s hands. Ying, being the closest to Youyi, tilts her head to look up at him and offers her free hand, to which he reaches and holds onto with a grin. He sucks in a breath, then once they’re all ready – they blink.
The universe that they all blinked to stretch green as far as the eyes can see – filled with peculiar floras that are both familiar and unfamiliar to the merchant and his monkos.
Lizhi and Meijing are the first to break off from the group, taking a quick look around to ensure that there is nothing dangerous lurking before returning to Youyi (with Meijing giving him a thumbs up).
Youyi nods at them “Well, just like I said before– grab anything that looks valuable.” He instructs, then points in front of him. “Go forth, my knights!”
Lizhi and Meijing cheer in response before darting off to explore the area, as they always do. Ying, however, remains unmoving. She sticks by Youyi’s side, even reaching out to tug at his pants as she wonders what they’ll be doing.
“You’re not going with them?” Youyi raises a brow.
“Uu?” Ying tilts her head, staring at him with a look of confusion before shaking her head no. She’d rather stay and travel with Youyi!
He blinks, then chuckles. “Okay. Wanna go over there then?” He points to the left, where they can see a bunch of huge mushrooms growing together.
“Uu-uu-aa!” Ying’s answer comes in the form of her climbing up Youyi’s leg and perching herself on his shoulder. Then, she points in the exact same direction as he did and chatters.
Youyi laughs, then punches his fist in the air. “Alright then, let's go!”
And he marches on forward, ready to embark on this adventure with his companion.
